We all have our stories. Have you ever wanted to tell one of yours? Have you ever wanted to write down that family story for the grandkids? Have a story to tell about when you grew up? Have a story that you're dying to tell that happened around here? Want to write but not sure what to write about? Come to the Memoir Writing Workshop at Books & Beyond.

Award Winning Writer Margaret Elysia Garcia takes you through the beginnings of memoir writing. Margaret's memoir work has been published in online and print journals, most notably in The Sun magazine. She's also currently working on a book length one of her own. She will take you through the process from focusing on what aspect of your life to write about, writing from images and events, and take you through to a finished story or on the road to a longer work. Each workshop will consist of a writing exercise, some sharing and critique and suggestions for further reading and development. It promises to be fun!

Single sessions are $35.
